Thank you to George and Colette Langdin for hosting this year’s wine tasting event. If you haven’t heard the Red winning wine was Menage a Trios, brought by Kathy & Neale Schad. The White winning wine was Beringer Pinot Grigo, brought by Marge & Dave Present. This year for this event there were many first, first new venue, first time we had prizes for the winning wines. Great food like always of course. No new comer or first timer for Sherry & Gilbert Cruz. We really appreciate ya’ll emceeing and labeling the wines and keeping the score for the favorite wines.

Great picks everyone---the winners won a $20.00 gift certificate from Twin Liquors. Enjoy!

We have some awesome things coming up that are going to be sponsored by the Woman’s Club in the next couple of months. A Progressive Dinner on March 24, 2012 and Guest Speakers on April 19, 2012 at Oak Meadow United Methodist Church.

Please consider joining us for either event or both it may just be your lucky day. Dorr prizes will be given away at our Guest Speaker presentation. Look forward to seeing you! Have a great St. Patrick’s Day. Let’s see if we can do better with playing a game this year. The first person who presents me with the completed Shamrock Maze will win a prize. Come on you never know….you could be the winner!!

Are you able to open your home for a progressive dinner? I am looking for people to consider opening their homes for about 45 minutes – 1 hour for a progressive dinner. I need at least 3 homes or volunteers. We need an appetizer, entrée and dessert home. Everyone or couple attending would take a dish to one of the houses assigned and the rest is easy as pie. Thanks to all of the Oak Meadow Women's Club who cared and called during my recent illness. It's nice to know that neighbors and friends are so close when they are needed. To all of you who pitched in and donated, know that you truly are the 'Angels' of Oak Meadow.

Now that I am up and on my feet, I am resuming my position as the head of the 'Angels', If you know of anyone that needs us, please phone me, and I will take care of it. Thank you again.
